CAR PAINTING AIR COMPRESSOR
Does Fiber-Glass stick to Metal? How many PSI do you need to Paint a Car Right? 4-Paint to stick right!?

I am going to mold my Body-Kit up to my Car Body,a nd i think I heard somewhere that FiberGlass doesn’t dtick to Metal! But I don’t know how true it is. Anybody know? What are some good methods to molding a Body-Kit to your Car Body? How do you Cut FiberGlass? Oh Yeah, One more thing… What is the PSI of an Air Compressor required in order to Paint a Car and have the Paint stick good… Or Paint a Car the Right way? Where can I find a cheap Paint set? What is the best kind of Paint Gun to get? Is there a huge difference in the Quality of cheaper and newer for a 1-2 Car Gun? Is Air Compressor the best set-up to have? Thank You in advance.
I know how to FiberGalss already… In case it wasn’t “clear”.

First you will use 80 grit sandpaper to sand the area under where you plan to attach fiberglass and to get out any rust spots. The fiberglass will come in sheets that you cut to size then apply using a sticky resin solution. You will do this over and over and over until you achieve the thickness desired. After it has dried thoroughly you then sand it to the shape you want using 320 grit sandpaper. For the rust spots use putty over the 80 grit areas to smooth it out. You will also sand the entire car using 320 grit. After you spray the primer you will sand it down with a 400-600 grit to smooth it out. Then you will spray on the colorcoat. Once that’s dry you will sand that using a grit between 1000-3000 to get out the “orange peel” for an ultra smooth mirror-like finish. Then you can apply a clearcoat if you like.
I’m not sure about the PSI. The shop I worked in had a gigantic tank with dozens of outlets being used at the same time so the PSI on that thing was enormous.
I’ve used paint guns that were gravity guns with the tank on the top of the gun and guns with the tank on the bottom. They’re about the same but I was always partial to the ones with the tank on the bottom. They seemed to have better balance for me but that could have just been the make/model of the guns I was using. For the sander I’d recommend an orbital sander.
