CAR PAINTING FRANCHISES
Car paint chipping off?

My car’s paint has been chipping off since this past winter. I haven’t gotten it washed since then for the fear of chipping it even more. It’s a 98 model mitsubishi eclipse, white in color. I would like to get it re-painted to prevent any damage before the winter arrives.

I although have no idea as to where to go and the rates I might get charged with. The car just completed 100000 miles and runs fine. I want it to last another 3-4 years to get my money’s worth out of it. Could somebody suggest a good place to get it painted, a franchise preferably that do it and for 300-400 max.

Thanks so much

You won’t get a paint job worth anything if all you’re trying to pay is $400. You could go to a place like Maaco and do it if you really want, but there are horror stories abound from that place about shoddy work that left cars looking worse than before.

If you want a paint job that will actually last, go to a decent body shop and prepare to spend at least two to three grand. No way around it.
