Painting car centre console finishing questions?
I have decided to spray the centre console on my car, it looked terrible it was some kind of rubberised paint that has been peeling off. I have so far used various sand paper grades ( 150 grit – 2000 grit) paper to get it to a smooth finish.
I have brought spray plastic adhesion promoter/primer, flat black spray paint. I want to add a protective coating which one would be best?
I don’t really want to ruin it by putting the wrong kind of clear coat on, do i need one especially for plastic?
I have painted a test piece, the ash tray cover and it looks like brand new. But think definatley needs some kind of coating to protect it
try and use the same brad paints together. for what your doing ive never taken the time to spray paint the interior but in my thoughts you dont want to be mixing up diffrent brands of spray paint/clear coat
