Is there a technical reason for painting a residential garage floor verus just better looking floor?
My garage is subject to only normal wear and tear of car tires and light foot traffic. Is there any reason to paint it? It is a smooth polished concrete floor with a 10 year old coat of paint on it now which is wearing off.
Painting the floor has 2 purposes:
1) as you stated it looks nicer
2) painting it also protects the concrete from stains, such as grease, oil, tire tracks,etc.
