Need good Auto Body Shop in Fairfax, VA – PLEASE help, I know NOTHING about this stuff!!!?
I need to have a dent repaired and some minor paint chipping fixed. I dont’ know what the different certifications are or anything. My car is fairly new so I want good quality work (but preferably not too expensive). I took it to one place already and got an estimate for $700….Any help/advice would be great!

To be completely honest, the certifications mean very little. I am in the collision repair industry so I can say this. The biggest certification on auto body is I-CAR. Call them or look on the website, i-car.com, for a recommendation. Your best bet is to ask around to co workers, friends, etc and find out who has the best reputation.
As far as your comment in your question, most shops do three types of jobs – good and cheap but not fast, good and fast but not cheap or fast and cheap but not good. Just remember that you get what you pay for.
