Have you ever rode in or owned a 1978 Omega Oldsmobile?
My first car was a 1978 Omega Oldsmobile – Black with red interior. It would flat fly going down the interstate – for someone who had never owned a car before – heading to FL one time I must have been going 140 mph and she never shimmied or shook at all. Smooth ride – wish I’d never got rid of it!!!! I got it in 1981 and it only had about 4000 miles on it. Boy did that paint shine too…….. 350, V-8

Well, what was your first car? I was just being a little sentimental today, that’s all my point is. That was my first car. Guess I should have posted in the seniors section.
I own a shop, and work on & drive most all vehicles made at one time or the other. The 78 Omega was a nice car, and I know what you mean about the ride. It seemed the faster you went, the better it rode & handled. Yeah… you do wish you still had it, and I for one know what you are talking about. My sister-in-law owned one, and she drove that car for many years, bought a new Buick, and still complains about the Buick not being the car the Omega was. May-be GM ought to have learned something from Omega owners?
