CAR RESTORATION CONNECTICUT
30 day drivers license suspended in connecticut.. please helpp?

Over the summer I was at a concert and had alcohol in my car. I was 17 at the time and a cop gave me a ticket for possession of a minor for $130. I payed the ticket immediately, not wanting my parents to find out, but about a month ago I got a letter from the DMV saying my license was suspended for 30 days and I had to pay $125 to restore it. I’m 18 now and being a full-time commuting college student, have payed my dues… Today is the end of my 30 day suspension (yippee!), I sent in all of the money about a week and a half ago but I haven’t gotten the “restoration” notice in the mail yet. Would it be wrong for me to drive? Can I print out a copy online that my check has been cashed and keep it with me?
They said everything had to be done through mail. My 30 day suspension is over today and I payed for the restoration but never got an official resoration, I’m just wondering if I can drive.

Until you get the actual reinstatement notice in the mail, you’re still suspended; better wait until you have that.
