What to expect from 1984 Mustang GT?
My Grandma is deciding to give me her 1984 Mustang GT. She originally bought it brand new and drove it for less then one year, with less then 10,000 miles being driven total. The car since then has been stored in her garage. I know that some work and restoration will need to be done, but I don’t really know what to expect. If anyone has any experience with cars, could you help me out a little? I would just like to know how much money I can excpet to spend and the different problems it will likely have.
it will be a very nice car.just make sure to start replacing things,like immediatly,water pump,drive belt,alternator etc.accessories tend to go bad if theyve sat a long time, however they are virtually new lmao.the corrosion in the cooling system,the fuel system,and your motor oil and gear oil and brake fluid should be freshened asap.if youve never driven a gt, boy are you in for a surprise.
