What is a cute 1950s curvy sedan to get as a beginners restoration project car?
I like the curvy sedans of the early 1950s, like the Ford Custom or early Chevy Bel-Air. I want to restore one pretty much to how it originally was, except I would do some safety upgrades to the brakes and add seatbelts (I don’t remember if they had them) and I would go for some fun colors in paint and upholstery. I don’t want anything super fancy that I would get lynched for not restoring completely to original, but I do want something that’s at least a little easy to find parts and information for. What do you think I should go for? I would really appreciate links to pictures. My exhusband’s grandfather had a 1952 (I think) Ford Custom Deluxe in decent shape on his lot that he was going to give me but unfortunately I can’t get that one anymore.
