Is now the right time to sell my townhome?
I am a 26 year old single male that purchased my first home about 2.5 years ago. It is a 3 story townhome, 2 bdrm, 2.5 bath and 2 car garage that I paid $160,000 for. It was built in 2000 and is in great condition. It has custom colors inside and the outside was just painted last summer. I believe I could sell it for around $200 – $210,000. The home is located in Beaverton, OR, a suburb on Portland, Oregon. I would like to relocate to Vancouver, Washington where I can get more home for my dollar. Is now the right time to sell? Or should I wait until next year sometime? I am no hurry to sell. Any advice would be appreciated. FYI: Our housing market seems to be cooling off and people do not seem to be paying asking price any longer, and are paying below. Thoughts?
Sell it now before the prices start to go down.
