How do i charge for a custom airbrush paint job on cars?
i just started airbrushing on cars after being in the t-shirt industry for about 8 yrs i have some experience on House of Kolor paints ,I’ve done one hood so far and i charged 500 dollars for three portraits,(no clearcoating)it took me about 12hrs to complete, i need to know if that was too cheap on too much and i needed some pricing guidelines on this type of work and how much its worth? my skill level is pretty good as far as airbrushing .Do i charge by the hour or by the square foot?how do i charge for a custom paint job?
You’re in the ball park price wise.Depending on the detail,time from start to finish,the complexity,etc.Don’t forget the cost of paint,wear and tear on your equipment,masking materials,etc.The bigger the job ,the larger the price.Hope this helps.Luck and peace.
