Paint too expensive?
I was quoted $10,000-12,000 to repaint my ‘00 Bonneville SSEi a new color (its silver now). Thats just regular paint…if I want some House of Kolor, or some other kind of custom paint, it’ll be significatly more? Does this sound like too much? I mean, damn! Thats way more than my car is even worth!
BTW, I was told it was this expensive because I have a unibody car; therefore all the panels have to be taken off, sanded, etc…
Way too much. They wanted 3 or 4 thousand do do my truck from scratch. That was taking it down to bare metal, removing the bed and taking out the glass and whatnot.
Since my truck was only worth about 1500, I said the heck with it and got some spray cans. I’m sure you don’t want to do that, though.
Get some more quotes.
