My Brother In Law Stole my antique car and destroyed it what can i Do about it?
When my dad passed away he left me his antique car which I loved it meant a great deal to me and was in good condition it could have used a new paint job but other than that it ran I drove it for years and kept repaired when needed but my brother in law was suppose to move it for me when i moved into my new home because something had happened to the trans misssion and I was going to have it repaired but instead he destroyed it, he said a tree fell on it and it was flattened but he has no proof of what was done to the car I think he is lieing he was offered a lot for the car and I think he sold it but I have the title in my name it broke my heart when he did this to me I really loved that car.Can anyone help me I really want him to pay for the car because it was not his property to destroy it belonged to me.
1) You have the Title–in your name– so whatever he did to your car is/was illegal !!
2) Talk to your local Police Dept and get some advice.
3)Your Title should have a VIN Identification number on it so maybe it could be tracked.
4) Write or call the DMV and ask them what action you should take.
