How much, on average, does it cost to paint a car?
The car is an ‘86 El Camino if that matters. And what about the places that you bring it in but you tape the car yourself? How much cheaper are those? What about Maaco? I heard they give $200 paint jobs?

You have a very nice car there, 23 yrs old, a classic in 2 years, as the car gets older, its value will increase more. So try to keep it as original as possible. I wouldn’t recommend Maaco or the place that DIY. You get what you pay for.
