How are maaco paint jobs?
I have a 2004 nissan and I want to have it resprayed.The clearcoat is failing all on the roof and there is mismatched paint on the drivers door(I tried to rattlecan over some scratches but the paint did not match.)There is also a large scuff on the front bumper from grazing a pole in the airport parking garage.
I figure instead of spotting all this stuff in it may be better to paint the whole car(same colour).
I was quoted $4000 and $4200 from a couple of top rank body shops and $3000 from a smaller place(the same place quoted me $900 for a “closed door” job).Then I saw an add for a maaco “$249 special” sounds too good too be true.
Back in my day macco-was painting em for 99 bucks..Right over rust dents everything..We were driving junkers with no value so they looked new to us…You have a decent car that will last and hold a good resale value..If you get a crappy paint job it will detract from the value more then leaving it alone..I would inquire more about what is exactly involved with that closed dore job and stay away from Macao.
