How would you rate MAACO in terms of workmanship quality?
Of lately i’ve been seeing a slew of MAACO commercials claiming to be able to perfectly replicate that new car finish at a relatively low price.
For those who have recently had their cars repainted by MAACO, how do you rate the quality of the paint finishes?
Maaco and other places that advertise a paint job for less than $500, give you a paint job worth less than $500!! They use only one coat of inferior quality color, and a “fog” coat of inferior quality clear. They don’t do door jams, under hood/trunk, and they do a poor job of masking and no prepwork. You end up with a bad job that will fade, crack and peel, and bubble in no time. When I do even a regular reshoot of the same color base/clear, I use WELL over $500 worth of paint!!! And I still won’t shoot it over the factory job, you still have to prep the surface to recieve and bond with the new paint. You get PRECISELY what you pay for!!!
