Maaco paint jobs..worth it? Or not?
I have a black 2002 pontiac sunfire and the paint on the hood of my car has some very visible fading spots and chips in it ..I heard that sometimes sun can do this to cars over time. Anyways, I recently heard of Maaco and was thinking about getting a paint job just on the hood of my car.
Although it may be hard to match a good price range seeing how it will vary with each car…could anyone possibly tell me.. just a ball park estimate.. of how much just a paint job for a hood would cost?
Does Maaco have good service?
And lastly…Do they usually match your tint well enough? Or would you suggest getting the whole car painted?
I’m not very “auto paint savvy” as you can tell so I’m looking for help from someone who knows what they are talking about unlike me ha
Help please!
the paint job you will get from Maaco would be ok for your car. Maybe what you could do is spend a weekend prepping it yourself, which would require sanding the paint with a 320 grit sandpaper and a dual action sander. Also what you could do is take some of the car apart { bumpers, trim, and etc.} and that would get you a better job for a allover paint job. If you only want the hood painted, then Maaco would be an ok choice. I would also say a ballpark estimate from Maaco on the hood $150.00 and to have it painted allover $600.00. If you took it to a decent bodyshop, expect to pay a lot more
