What causes car paint to peel off?
I have a classic car I bought last year and I stored it away for winter for about 4 or 5 months.
Took it out last week and noticed that the paint from the passenger side door is peeling off. I was going to get it repainted either way because the paint looks crappy done like maaco or something but wanted to know what causes a cars paint to peel.
Do you think its because it wasn’t prepped well?
NOTE:
The current paint is not the original colour. Its black now but was Tan at some point and the last owner got it painted black.
it is either a bad prep job or the paint wasnt cured right(baked on)
