What’s a rough guess on how much this would be to restore?
Ok so here’s the deal. I’m thinking about buying between a 1969-1972 Chevelle that I want to restore. Now for the most part, when I look them up, they are busted, rusted, and torn to hell. I don’t care if it comes with an engine, as I’ll be putting a 454 in it. So just a rough guess, how much do you think it would be to get the interior re-done, new seats, paint, etc? I know the 454 I’m looking at is right around 8k. I’m pretty much talking a “from the ground up” restoration. It’s not really gonna be for showing to much. I’ll take it to some local things and such, but for the most part I just want to build a nice muscle car. If you know of any places for body parts and such feel free to add it on here. Thanks for your help!
With the engine figure $20 to $30K. I redid a ‘65 Mustang with my Grandson two years ago and that’s about what I put into it. Did all the work ourselves, including the upholstery, except the paint and body. Parts and paint and body ain’t cheap.
