MUSCLE CAR RESTORATION TIPS
Crappy Rolls-Royce,Bentley,or Muscle car restoration, which one is better and easier?

I’m a teen (of course) and i love cars. my mom was talking to my step-dad one day of buying a broke down muscle car and fix it up. well i was thinking maybe we can find a cheap or broken down Rolls-Royce or Bentley.Would that be easy or should we just find a crappy used muscle car, beacause if we can get a Rolls-Royce or Bentley that would be awesome. Give me tips and advice please,Thanx

Hmmm… hate to tell ya, but there is no “cheap or broken down” RR or Bentley. Even in horrible shape, they fetch good money. Plus, the parts and maintenance for those two makes are VERY high. Wooden door panels are kept in a freezer in England, and if you need one, you can get the exact same door panel from the exact same tree the original was made from. And, it isn’t cheap.

Find you a decent used muscle car (mid-to-late 70s Camaro, Firebird, TA, etc.) that you can get for a good price right now. Restore the heck out of it, and wait ’til the values of those years start to jump, similar to the late 60s-early 70s muscle cars now. You might not fetch $100K-plus for a ‘77 Trans-Am, but it’ll still be worth way more than you put into it in 10 years or so.
